My mum is the best cook the world’s ever seen.
Her recipe notebook – the all-time classic – isn’t filled with her own dishes (those she knows by heart), but with recipes passed down from good people she’s met along the way.
It means you never cook alone – everything you know is a mix of everyone around you.
One year, for Mother’s Day, we made a facsimile edition. Just three hand-stitched books: one for her, one for me, one for my sister.
